I just tried a direct update/install over the existing version and it does not work - username/password incorrect failure. You can export your settings and then import them on a clean install (settings>import/export settings) but as of the last few releases that breaks the Medicines as well for some reason. I'll let you know if that has changed in this release.

Clean install of this does work and updates. Installing it over previous version does not work and importing previous settings does break it. After attemping to import previous settings and breaking it - I was able to reinstall over the broken install (took 2 times) and restart my computer. After the second reinstall and restart it seems to be working with my previous settings!

update - as soon as i clicked update (manually) it broken again (invalid username/password)

@Mirkec could you post what the host file should have in it in order to block eset properly and allow the alternative server?

Yes why not? I saw the system requirements in the description but it is not an old version so i am sure that it will work with 11.
You can use it at 100%

Just add "hosts" to detection exclusions.

Export your config > main screen -> setup > right below export config.
Install the older version.
Confirm that you want to install an older version.
When it is installed go as fast as possible to the > main screen -> setup > advanced setup > update > profiles > my profile > product updates > application feature update. Unselect otherwise Eset will update to a newer version again.
Then go to the main screen again > setup > right below import config.
You're done.
