This never happened to me, i have used many different builds with no problems also everyone uses chrome and downloading it from the official website. for antivirus i always using bitdefender total security or panda dome also downloading them from their official websites after that they start scanned my PC and found svchost.com on my C:\Windows and delete it then after that exe file association no more workingno to avoid logging in everywhere to install certain software just after clean installation i use patchmypc
