I would love to use this uTorrent 2.2.2, but unfortunately I can't install it. Windows10 gives the message:
uTorrent has crashed. A crash dump has been saved as: ...
I googled for it, but couldn't find any definitive resolution of the issue.
So, I'm back to using uTorrent 2.0.4.
Yes of course still applicable. Will work for all versions of Utorrent. Is this still applicable now?
Not sure, this thread made almost two yrs. ago. Lol. I think it is HUD Red theme.Cheers.
@You must be registered for see links, would it be possible to know what theme that is , cheers.
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Finally, I found a way out:Hey, I saw a post that has the same issue. Try it you never know.
Before installing turn off your internet connection.
Then install as usual.
Glad you worked it out. Enjoy. Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Finally, I found a way out:
I had v2.0.4 installed. I wanted to bring 2.2.1. I didn't want to lose the torrents I had seeding. So, I tried to install 2.2.1 without removing the existing version. It didn't go through; it crashed.
YouTube had a video suggesting that you remove "uTorrent" folder from C:\user\roaming\appdata. Didn't quite work. I clicked on the 2.2.1 setup file It didn't crash this time, but the old uTorrent 2.0.4 opened up, as if nothing had changed!
Finally, I went to Control Panel and removed the old version--with the option to retain settings. Now, 2.2.1 installed fine. Note: I had to re-enter all the Preference choices I had made; the torrent list, however, came through.
