So, I've repaired many many many computers as well as reset BIOS passwords, however, I never came across this Dell Security Manager dealio.

So here is my problem. I have here a Dell Precision 3561. The specs are amazing but I get Dell Security Manager as soon as it boots up. Tried booting into USB, booting into BIOS even. Even yanked the nmve drive out, she is embedded. It wants to go into BIOS but gets shut down from DSM.

Does anyone know of the location of the battery on this Dell Precision?

@Trey Parker, I share with you what I found, 2 links that I got from the official Dell forum that can help you:
https://bios-pw.org/
https://biospassword.eu/dell-free-passwords
Then a tutorial: https://www.digieffects.com/how-to-bypass-dell-secure-manager-and-just-factory-reset/
I don't know if you'll solve it with this data, but it's a start.
I hope I've helped.

Thank you for the reply!

I just took the bracket off and I found the RTC battery. It was under the space where a 2.5 HDD would go but with this laptop, no 2.5 only two NVME cards. Booted it up with the hard drive out. Same, took the RTC battery cable out of socket, booted, same issue. Than I CTRL ESC while booting which is the equivalent to pulling the RTC battery I guess. Screen flashed different colors and rebooted. DSM still pops up.

I actually found those sites a few years back and I had them all up and ready when I first booted the Dell. I was let down :(

So, as of October 10th 3:01 AM Central America time, I have NOT settled this issue. However, I can't leave something undone and I must learn about it so I can't give up ha.

This is probably because most modern laptops dont use the RTC battery to power bios that stores passwords anymore. Some don't even have RTC batteries at all. They either use a single rechargeable cell directly or they use the main battery since even drained it still has enough power to keep the UEFI bios alive for some time.

I would suggest removing the main battery, unplugging it, and letting it off for like 8h+ and by then bios should reset. If not, contact Dell and they will help with the master password. As for the bios password sites, if I remember well, your laptop is fairly new and so they probably haven't caught up with the changes in password mechanisms I guess. Eventually tho they will so don't lose hope, try every 2 weeks and see if something works out.

Hope it helped.
