Did you restarted system after using it? try restarting system sometime it happened. if you tried then no worries.

Still not working,

last resort......

Change BIOS to IDE, Boot Win7. Delete all partition. Until this step we cannot instal win7 because of Asus Bios.
Restart, change Bios to SATA again then instal windows on SATA - MBR partition.

Done

So... Something odd... I downloaded the torrent, sent it to my 16 gig USB drive, installed. But I get some oddball error in the very last stage of installation. It's too fast for me to catch specifically on the SSD, but it's one of the self-extracts with the java icon, the third and final.

Once the OS launches, it's basically a bog-standard windows 7 with a skin, unactivated, no extra software or anything. and of course within five minutes of me installing my wifi driver its trying to get me to install windows 10.

Halp? Reccomendations?

HP DV7-4273us (AMD phenom 2 quad)
sandisk x300 128gig SSD
8gb ram (7.75 system, .25 vid)
attempting bare bones install
