Unbelievable thing happened to me. I installed Numix a month ago and I was thrilled, really like the design, speed and everything. When I woke up today, at first glance everything seems ok but some icons are missing, my programs and stuff are there but some differente icons apear on my taskbar, the colors are little differente also... I went to the system properties and there is no NUMIX title on it... hmmm... and when I saw on my C partition folder Windows.old everything was clear. This was not small update, the whole new system was installed while I was sleeping - !!!

I forgot to disable updates in group policy `cose I never realize something like this ever happened. I just disabled windows update service but that was not enough. Tonight before I go to sleep I will try to roll back instalation, to be precise I will go to an earlier build - NUMIX build - I hope it will work.

So everybody DISABLE UPDATES, windows 10 is sneaky with background updates.

Just a heads up, after updating to v1607 it starts fluctuating at home & welcome screen and stuck there. Anyways I like Numix, so I installed it again . Anyone who finds a solution to this error at home & welcome screen, please do share.

Yup , had the same thing . Luckily , I had a restore point .

FIX FOR PAINT:
Go to %windir%\system32\
Find file named : UIribbon.dll.old
Right Click on it : Take ownership
Rename it to : "UIribbon.dll"

there was no Ulribbon.dll.old but there was UIribbon.dll.disabled. i tried to rename it and it worsk. Thank you very much sir.
