vRigger is Windows-based software that lets you create rigging systems on your PC (or Mac with additional software). Whatever your rigging needs, let vRigger help you illustrate your systems.​

vRigger features a modern interface that is very similar to Microsoft Office™. If you are familiar with Office, you will feel at home with vRigger.​

Rig with your mouse​

Grabbing gear
To add gear to your rigging system, you simply drag it from a gear pane and drop it on the screen
Drag-and-drop
When you drop gear on other gear, the items automatically connect. Sound effects add an auditory experience to your virtual workspace.

Flexible rope and webbing
You can use your mouse to grab any point on a rope and then drop it on gear to "attach" them. When you rearrange gear, the rope automatically stays connected to the gear

Click-and-Pick
When you click your right mouse button on gear, a menu containing commands relevant to that item is displayed. After clicking on the gear, pick a command. It's that easy.​

Calculate forces​

vRigger can calculate the forces on almost every rigging system. And vRigger understands the complexity of friction, ratchets, and winches, the subtleties between raising and lowering a load, and the effects of rope angles

Detailed results
You can display the forces being applied to each piece of gear, the rope angles (the angles are displayed in red if they exceed the critical angle of 120°), and the system's overall mechanical advantage.

Stay informed
You can have warning symbols displayed on any component in the system when the forces exceed your safety factor. Failure symbols are displayed when forces exceed the gear's breaking strength.

The gear collection​

More than 580 pieces of gear are available in vRigger. You'll find ascenders and anchors, bolts and brake bars, carabiners and chairlifts, edge protectors and eyes, figure 8s and fire engines, Grillons and Grigris, I'Ds and ice screws, lampposts and loads—you get the idea. And if vRigger doesn't have the gear you need, you can add the gear to vRigger yourself or request that it is added to a future version of vRigger
