If you never ran a virtual before, you are in for a treat! A virtual install of Windows is run in a window just like any other program. The Windows registry on a physical install gets wear and tear from daily computing. So let a virtual install take the installing and uninstalling. Keep your files on your physical drives, but install programs to try out on a virtual. And you can clone a virtual (instead of backing up). If a virtual Windows starts acting up and has problems booting, just delete it and run the previously made clone. And if you want to try out other operating systems like Linux, you can install them as a virtual. Best thing that ever was invented.
