Locked uTorrent latest update Issue

Hi there,

Does anybody know what is going on with uTorrent and Windows 11? uTorrent keeps crashing on startup.

Tried and downgrade it to a lower version and it worked fine. Then disabled updates but keeps updating next time i open it. Any ideas?

Is the latest uTorrent web fine and safe? Looking forward to your advice. Thanks!

Some programs are not supported yet in windows 11.
Don't forget that Microsoft still fixing issues in windows 11 so its normal utorrent or other programs having issues.
I guess in next update of utorrent it will be fixed, that doesn't mean of course that something else come out.
Have patient.....................

This makes me think that I should update, I don't have the latest version hahahaha

EDIT:

Windows Updates only updated up to 22000.527, I didn't get to that update
From what I see 22543 is only for users of the Dev Channel ( Insider Program)

Thank you all for the replies! Unfortunately, i am using the same version as above but i am facing an issue still. Tried and delete the Appdata folder and reinstall but no luck. Any other ideas i can try?

1. Back utorrent (I guess you don't want to loose your torrents).
2. Uninstall with Revo or similar program.
3. Install again utorrent.
4. Restore you backup files
5. See if the issue is solved


If the issue is still there, do the steps again but install the versions you are not having problems.
Go to preferences and disable the update procedure.
Wait for the next version of utorrent to install

You must be registered for see links

Use Google to find out if your version of uTorrent is incompatible with Windows 11.
If it is then there are sure to be plenty of references to it.

If you don't actually need a different version of uTorrent then don't waste your time trying to make it work. Stay with the working version that you already have.

I upgraded to the latest version and after restarting, it looks like it is working fine. The Ad that is below the menu bar is kind of flashing, but the program is not crashing anymore. Hopefully, that will be fine on the next start of the computer. Thanks all for the replies and suggestions! Much appreciate it!
