When this happens, it’s usually caused by one of three problems: camera shake, focus issues, or general softness.
Sharpen AI includes a separate module to handle each one.

Stabilize: Natural shake reduction
Even the steadiest hands don’t compare to a tripod when it comes to image sharpness.
Unlike a tripod, though, you always have your hands with you!
Sharpen AI’s Stabilize module has been trained to reverse motion blur and make handheld images look like they were taken from a tripod.

Focus: Better focus correction
Focus correction is a notoriously difficult problem that’s easy to get wrong, but Sharpen AI’s Focus module excels at correct up to ten pixels of focus blur.
This is perfect for sharpening out-of-focus eyes or correct issues caused by incorrect in-camera focus.
Tip: use selective adjustments for best results!

Hardware Minimum Requirements

• Processor (CPU):
  Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 equivalent or above (3.0 GHz and above) AVX Instructions required
• System Memory (RAM):
  8GB (16GB and higher is recommended for improved performance)
• Graphics Card (GPU):
  OpenGL 3.3 or higher required. Nvidia GTX 740 or AMD Radeon 5870 (higher series graphics cards recommended)
• Dedicated Graphics Memory (VRAM):
  2 GB (6GB or more for optimum performance)
• Display (Monitor):
  At least 1024x768

Hardware Considerations For Image Apps
Some computers without a dedicated graphics card may function but errant behavior should be expected.
A sufficient dedicated graphics card with OpenGL 3.3 and at least 2 GB of VRAM is the minimum requirement
Not supported are Intel HD Graphics 4600 integrated graphics cards or lower in any configuration.

Graphics Drivers
Outdated graphics drivers may result in faulty performance.
Drivers should be kept current through the GPU manufacturer's website or provided software.
Windows driver updates are rarely current and newer drivers may be available even when Windows says you are up to date.
Topaz apps use the newest optimizations from both Nvidia and AMD whenever possible.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Follow the instructions in the post exactly.

Some people have had activation problems.
If activation does not work when you reconnect to the internet then add this line to your hosts file:
127.0.0.1 api.topaz-labs.net
Then install and activate the app again.

If you already have a version of Sharpen installed then uninstall it.
You must block internet access as described in the installation instructions.

Btw, this fix works even if you use the Topaz Sharpen AI 4.0.2 installation from the official website. All i used from the torrent was the readme and the api_app_state.json file that were also included. Just follow the directions as written.

i am stuck at the login screen , it is just authenticating and not going anywhere, and there there is no cre.dat file if i close the app in middle of authentication.

edit - what i did the ignor the cre.bat file and did copy json file from fix and it worked.

Hello, actually the "fix" doesn't work. I tried to stop via Windows Firewall the comunication, but it still wont work. Every time I open my internet connection it reverts back to Trial. It works only if you stay offline

It worked for me. The screen captures in this post were captured from my PC after I activated the app. I'm still using it.
You're probably not following the instructions properly.

Dunno what I'm doing wrong, also it seems that the firewall doesn't care about blocking the traffic, because it check every time. It litterally works only just after done, the momento I reconnect he checks the license for some reason. I don't have the same problem with DeNoise and Gigapixel, but they have a different way for the fix. This could have come in handy for some racing photos

Are you blocking the correct file? I configured my firewall to block all outgoing traffic from
%ProgramFiles%\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz Sharpen AI\Topaz Sharpen AI.exe

My installation was fine for a while but then it stopped working. I added this line and it's working again.

It might be enough to add the hosts line and copy the json file again.
If that doesn't work work for you then try following these instructions:
