I have a little issue on my pc

Current OS running is below:-
windows 10 pro build 16299. rs3, release 170928-1534

PC specs
Processor-core 2 duo e4500 (2.2ghz)
RAM-DDR2 4gb
Motherboard-Gigabyte ga946gmx s-2
NO GPU

the issue facing
slow performance
games like GTA SA lagging a lot
PC gets stuck running process like ms office (sometimes)
cant run chrome + windows media player together (pc hangs)
running youtube on edge also lags

I tried running system mechanic
helped a little but still issues are been faced like lags in games

CONCLUSION

I am thinking it is the OS which seems to be heavy for the processor (Not sure)

i'm now guessing but you have no GPU and only 4 GB ram ...+ it is a dual core .... that is slow CPU + less memmory...
and you'r DELL Vostro have a beter CPU i3 + more memmory that is why it is faster :)

that is the difference.

So you want to make it faster, then you need a beter CPU something like i3 , i5 , i7 .
and go for 16GB ram /memmory's.
then it will be the porche under the computers ... :)
now the question is wat motherboard do you have and is it compatible with these faster CPU
and memmory's ???

@chandan.karanam i see on the picture Google Chrome is using 43% from cpu and 93% from the memmory ....
now you know how you'r computer is slow ...

and something i advice you now is, do a maleware scan with malewarebytes there should be a few hidden things running to on you'r Rig :)
just type malewarebytes in google or use the search here .
download and install it and let it run then it will be faster allready :)

@chandan.karanam thanks for listening to my advice about starting a thread at the help and request line. I understand it can be frustrating with tech issues and asking for them in chat may seem to be the quickest, however we do have rules thank you for following them.

I think you got a lot of good advice from @sitewizard I agree using firefox would be the best for you. I also think because the socket is old, before you make the great leap to 2018 why dont you get a fast CPU from that generation. It wont hurt your pocket because you can Kijiji or ebay it its like 12 bucks. DDR2 Ram is another whole can of worms as finding the ram will cost you more.

and coming to ram that's the max 4gb the board supports(DDR2 2X2gb)

thanks and regards

@chandan.karanam,

Just out of curiosity, what OS was originally running on your pc?
Also, the others do have a point about chrome and your current processor: chrome doesn't play nice with dual core processors. That's why it's usually advised to have a decent GPU too, to run some modern apps. The others gave you good advice on browsers you can use.

I'd also advise in lessening the load on your processor by closing out a portion of your currently running apps. By doing so, you might recover some ram and lesson some of the load.

from what I can see your processor usage is pretty much high....

also, kaspersky is taking much RAM and it's real-time scanning function might be interfering with your games....

search for windows 10 spying removal tools (i don't know which one to use so can't say anything) and shift to antivirus with lower usage...

also, use lighter browser than chrome (like firefox)

the real reason behind your lag is 2 cores which are not capable of handling such huge multitasking....

I live in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India and I know a guy there who is giving new Gigabit Motherboard (GIGABYTE H81M-S1 Motherboard) + 6th Gen Intel i5 (6500u)+ 8gb DDR3 RAM for 15000 INR. buying a new graphic card like 'ZOTAC GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Graphics Card' will cost arounf 10k INR more.

so, you will get a decent/low level gaming desktop for around 25k INR which is pretty good :)

@M4Master

thanks for the reply
appreciate your help
as said earlier there are other commitments as of now
will surely let you know when the funds are arranged.

as of know will leave it to my laptop to handle things
as also said earlier will be building it by end of 2018

thanks for the info about the 25k budget
really happy to hear that i5 is available

I was thinking about this build

Pentium g4560
on a gigabyte board
the board to support i7 latest processor so that I can build on the same board by not spending again on the board
at start around 8gb ram ddr4 (around 32g max I guess)
no graphics card (later on buy)

psu and cpu case will be the same lol
psu is around 450w

To be honest, I'm actually surprised that Windows 10 is running on a system originally meant for Windows XP... though thanks to your processor it's running on there.

My honest advice... I would have stuck with Windows 7 on that machine. Others have given you excellent advice, and I'll leave it at that.

Also, please stop double posting. Edit your post instead.
