There are a few things but first, you need to remain calm. Please tell us more details, we are not oracles.
Type of disk (SSD, spinner, nvme), Motherboard, way of connecting, and when and how the issue happened (for example after a power failure, accident, etc)?

Inside Bios...
If its not showing in the bios then any operating system installed will not be able to discover its presence.
Recheck its compatible with the motherboard and that its installed correctly.
Is the port is connected to enabled in the bios
Is it a hard drive, SSD or an M2?
If its a hard drive is there power to it?

If you have an external HDD connector or case, use that first. If there is no HDD activity, it might be dead.

Try connecting it with a new SATA cable. Sometimes the cable is defective.
Also try using other SATA sockets on the motherboard as it's possible that the SATA socket youve connected it to is defective
How old is this hard disk? What is it's model number? When was it last used? Does it have important data on it?

First of all which type of drive is it HDD, SATA SSD or NVME M.2. If it is a HDD then check whether it is spinning or not and does it have any kind of ticking noise. If it is not spinning or it has a ticking noise then your HDD is Dead. If you have a SATA SSD check whether it is recognized in BIOS or not and as for NVME M.2 first of all check your MOTHERBOARD Configuration whether it has a NVME M.2 Slot and if it has then check in BIOS whether it is enabled and NVME is detected in BIOS or not. If the Drive is not showing in BIOS then probably your drive is gone. If you have any other drive then connect it to your computer and see whether it is recognized in BIOS or not. If that drive is Recognized in BIOS then probably your Drive is gone and if it is not Recognized then there is a fault with your motherboard
