Locked LOCKED BIOS DELL

Hi guys, does anyone knows how to remove the locked bios? I can't access the bios of the laptop that they gave to me. Help me please.

Don't expect a sensible answer until you tell us which Dell laptop you have.
The model number is usually on a sticker on the underside of the laptop.

What do you mean by "locked"? Do you mean that it is password protected or something else?

Just a FYI here... but Dell has a ton of things to try to recover or bypass the bios password... you just need to know your Service Tag#

remove the cmos battery or google the 3 pin cmos reset for that laptop.... some disassembly may be required!

Thank you for the replies. These are the methods that i've done so far.

Reset CMOS inside the laptop
updating BIOS
various options for providing pw from key hint.
btw this laptop is really old, but I can still play Dota. I wanted to upgrade the storage to SSD, but I can't access bios to change the settings some settings coz SSD my bootable is not responding properly to the SSD but on the HDD, it's working properly.

I can afford a new one, so I have to stick with this haha
and this is the info for the laptop.
Laptop: Dell XPS L502x
Unlock key hint number: E0ADD05A
Service Tag: 97q0zp1

I'm kinda scared with this one coz they said that one mistake may end up destroying the laptop, but i've done removing the battery for 30mins, it did reset the settings but it didn't remove the pw.

You could just clone your existing drive to an ssd. The bios is probably set to mbr by default and the ssd would need to be formated mbr. Perhaps it's a hard disk passoword rather than a bios password.
