i have these message when i try to open some game " DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine , is there anyway to fix it

What app are you trying to run?
In the absence of more information, make sure you have the latest, official graphics driver.

Google "NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT". Go to the result on techpowerup.com.

It seems you have a fairly old graphics card that may not be compatible with newer games and apps.

i try to run fortnite game
and i update windows and last graphic card update navidia gt 9400 from the navidia site

Your screenshot says you already have feature level 10.0 so it is not obvious why it doesn't work.

You would probably get more help from the officail Fortnite site or from Fortnite forums. If you can, find a list og graphics cards know to work properly.

the following steps may help you to get out of it
1 – Check DirectX version you are running
2 – Update Windows 10 and DirectX
3 – Try Running the application with the dedicated GPU
4 – Update Graphics Card Driver
5 – Repair DirectX
6 – Install the Latest Medicines or update released by the game developer

You should be able to find a directx 11 download from Microsoft.

I googled your problem and got this;

"The error message "DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine" occurs when your computer doesn't have the required hardware feature. Another factor why you see this error is the graphics card driver issue, so you should make sure that your graphics card driver is working properly."

I'm beginning to think that your graphics card is too old to work with the latest version of Fortnite.

Go back to Steam and download latest Medicines for Fortnite
Reinstall DirectX
Grab latest video drivers from Nvidia. (Use driver updater from teamos website)

Should be good to go

The GeForce 9400 GT was a graphics card by NVIDIA, launched in August 2008. Built on the 80 nm process, and based on the G86 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 11.1. Even though it supports DirectX 11, the feature level is only 10_0, which can be problematic with many DirectX 11 & DirectX 12 titles. The G86 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 127 mm² and 210 million transistors. It features 16 shading units, 8 texture mapping units, and 4 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 128 MB DDR2 memory with the GeForce 9400 GT, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 459 MHz, memory is running at 600 MHz.


The real problem is your hardware/GPU which is quite old. Time to upgrade.

Don't know if this will help but this is why our graphics card is not supported even on weakest settings. According to official forum, here's required system spec's on weakest settings:

1. Video Card NVVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 940MX or equivalent DX11 GPU Video Memory 2GB VRAM
2. Processor Core i3-3225 3.3 GHZ
3. Memory 4 GB RAM
OS: Windows 7/8/10 64bit or Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6

Tried playing.this game several weeks
ago on an nVidia GTX 650 and didnt have enough Processor speed (or graphics card was terrible even at minimum setting) supported. (2.6 GHZ). Check the official forum for this. It's there.

I know what the problem: -i had several clients with this problem_i installed NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 for everyone and the problem was solved

i think the problem is coming from the windows itself, from what i saw in the image, you are using a ghost spectre window version
i don't know if you have downloaded from here or somewhere else, but because i have upload here a few ghost spectre builds, the original author clearly says that you cannot play all the games but some, maybe this is why it popus this message
if you have also installed the superlite version you have less options of playing less games
