How to Install and Activate:
0. Do not connect your internet while installing ang activating the program.
1. Run installer from "Setup" folder and complete the installation.
2. Close program completely (even from system tray) and Copy Medicines/fix file to program's installation
3. Use Medicines for activation
4. That's it, Enjoy!

Note: If the program don't run after Patching/copying the fix file re-run the Setup file and repair the program and do not Medicines again or copy the fix file.
Just run the program and use the Key to Activate.

Thanks a lot for this great software. I have a question. I struggled with HDD regen 2011 earlier when I had tried that. The issue was that I never had IDE mode in bios for the AHCI controller and without IDE mode HDD regen 2011 would error out at the last minute when it attempted bad sector recovery.
How does this 2024 version handle AHCI mode?

At the moment I don't have any bad disks so can't test it out. Thanks.

I notice that when I try to create bootable USB, the app tried to download files from the net and asks me to register or buy online. May be this functionality is excluded from the software as made available. Do confirm if I am missing something. Thanks.

The 2024 version also draws attention to switch to IDE mode instead of AHCI mode.

My bad, the software is not version 2024 it's named as HDD regenerator 2024 but version is 20.x. HDD Regenerator 2024 v20.24.0.0.

Also I do not think any BIOS vendor anymore offers IDE mode for AHCI controller. It's kind of outdated. The real test would be how the app handles AHCI mode during actual recovery.

Most likely HDD Regenerator runs only on IDE/Legacy Mode Bios. What i recommend is remove your drive and plug it in on Desktop PC on SATA that's what i've done always if the iDE/Legacy mode is not present on the bios.

If HDD regenerator works only on IDE mode, I won't spend 99 USD to buy it. Also how does 2024 v 20.x now handle NVMe which is entirely different controller is unclear when it says go to BIOS and set AHCI to IDE mode if available?
I tried to contact the software author but I could not understand how to resolve captch. It said to solve something like 29 + day of month. I tried 29+1, 29+30, 29+31, 29 + day of month as text but nothing worked.
With 2011 when I had a bad SATA disk and I tried to run it, the pre-scan worked well but during recovery it errored out stating Drive is not Ready. It only worked on IDE drives correctly.

As of now the creation of bootable USB does not work. The app reverses the treatment when trying to create bootable USB. So the same system drive from OS where HDD regen is started cannot be scanned and fixed. The solution is to clone the OS on another drive and boot using it so that previous system drive is not locked and then work on it.
