Genie Timeline is a modern-looking application Windows Time Machine that performs seamless automatic real-time backup for all user files and folders such as emails, multimedia files, documents, office and financial files, bookmarks, and more. Install it on a computer and set it up in just 3-simple straightforward steps in which all critical user documents, photos, and music are backed up to a recommended backup destination with optional security.
First and foremost, the user should know it is possible to manually choose the items to include in backup with the help of a folder structure, while a user can also use the "Smart Selection" option. To be more precise, the latter enables user to easily create backups for all detected e-m a i l and contacts (e.g. O u t l o o k, Windows M a i l etc.), items stored on the desktop, e-books and PDFs, pictures, music, bookmarks (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome etc.), Office files and iTunes items.
It is possible to pause the backup and resume the process at any point with just a click of the button, while the program also gives a score so that the user can easily tell its health. A search function is supported, statistics can be generated, while the history is also displayed in a new window. It is essential to keep in mind that this tool periodically creates backups of user files, as it uses a Continuous Data Protection, while it also saves user space by using Incremental Block Level.
Genie Timeline is a pretty efficient and reliable piece of software, dedicated to all types of users interested in backing up their files. All jobs are completed promptly, without putting a strain on the system’s performance and without popping up errors, crashing or hanging.
