It works like Windows Firewall it does exactly the same work.
You can use it if you don't have the Windows Firewall with a lite or compact OS for example that it maybe disabled.

I still using Windows firewall. I will install Fort firewall when I cannot upgrade to Windows 12 and windows update no longer received update in more years to come. If my windows firewall disabled automatically after I install Fort firewall, is my allowed app still there or removed? And is Fort firewall will have my allowed apps?

I don't think you need to uninstall it you will only update it. It is freeware.
