In my environment, I tried to limit FW and initialize the hosts file, but it reverted to the free version and I could not use it...
DVDFab 12.0.7.9 (x64) worked fine.

I'd check back whoever tried to 'fix this' followed the instructions and doesn't work, reverts to free version and still asks for a username and password.

Question, when downloading and uploading, is it recommended to use a VPN or just use my IP? I just want to make sure I have a good Ratio.

Using a VPN, a proxy server or datacenter to browse this site is forbidden.

You can run your torrent client through a VPN if you want to. It won't make your data transfers any faster and will, more likely, make them slower.

For those who can't use the program correctly, follow these instructions when installing the program:

1. Disconnect your computer from the internet (No WiFi neither Lan).
2. Install the program but disable in advanced settings of the instaler the option of running the program after instalation.
3. Disable your antivirus and run the Medicines as administrator. After that, you can enable your antivirus again.
4. Edit the hosts file (which can be found in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc) and remove the new two lines added (related to dvdfab urls).
5. Open the program and check that everything works.
6. Close the program and block it on your firewall.
7. Connect your computer to the internet again and check that the program still works.

Hope this will help all of you. It worked for me and it should work for you too
