Locked Best free app to renote onto servers

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone could recommend best free app to remote onto servers? I hear Solar Windows is brilliant but costs loads. Anything for free? Suggestions welcome.

First of all, the request is too generic. What kind of server? what OS? BMC/IPMI access or just desktop? what type of remote? Servers, depending on their type/os, have their own remote 99.9% of the time, unless we don't have the same definition of what a server is.

Anyway, you can use whatever remote that the Server OS can use, including their one remote tools like remote desktop or software like Teamviewer, Anydesk, etc if it's a windows server, and Teamviewer, or any type of VNC like tigerVNC, RealVNC, etc if it's Linux based. Unless there is a specific need, google will help you after this point.

Note here that you need to have prior access to the server in order to install the clients.

Putty or TightVNC there you go, or windows power shell for ssh. tunnelling anywhere on the net use teamviewer or anydesk.
