Ok I think I sorted...found the registry path to the users folder and can change it there....thanks for your attention.

No its not a security feature from the build its from Microsoft, it had happened to me too.
It may be because you checked the "Make me change my password every 72 days" box when you changed your Microsoft account password.
•Press Windows Key + R, to open the Run command, type control userpasswords2 and click OK.
•On the resulting User Accounts dialogue box, click on the Advanced tab, then click on the Advanced button under Advanced User Management.
•The next windows should be Local User and Groups. Click on the Users folder in the left pane, this will expand the right pane to show all of the user accounts on the machine. Right-click on your user account and choose Properties.
•Check the box "Password never expires", then click Apply
