For the last few versions of firefox it stopped opening torrents in utorrent
it wants to save the file instead of opening it in utorrent.
I went to the settings in firefox and to Applications files, but .torrent file is not listed.
Anyone know how to fix this ? It used to work fine with older firefox versions

Have you tried this? ... open settings and go to General settings... do as my screenshot shows.

1. Let Firefox download the .torrent file
2. Go to Firefox Downloads manager (Tools -> Downloads or CTRL-SHIFT-Y)
3. Right-click the .torrent file and toggle "Always Open Similar Files"

give me feedback info, please

I dont think it's a firefox issue, the torrent association was somehow lost from windows. If what was said above won't work, try this on your torrent client.
If it is grayed out that means there is an association already and then we will need to dig deeper.

The file association is the one that tells all other apps including browsers, with which application to open which file.
