I remember years ago during thee BBS days. As SysOps, we sometimes grew tired of n00bs asking repeatedly stupid questions, so we came up with a cruel way of dealing with them. I wrote a small batchfile for DOS and named it help.bat. It was nothing more than this: @echo Y| format C: /u
When the poor soul ran it it completely wiped his C: drive.
Flash foward 20yrs.... I needed help when I first started using linux, so I asked as a n00b in a forum how to do something, the moderator came back with a quick response and it was: rm -rf /*
The result was me erasing my entire linux system I had just spent 2 days precariously setting up. After a brief moment of anger, I flashed back to my DOS BBS days and just smiled, sometimes payback makes full circle.
