Tips & Tricks How to change password of a user without knowing the current password(windows)

Hello everyone, i have made a tutorial on how to change a password for a user without knowing the current password( in windows)
It is very easy, just follow the given steps-

step-1: First start cmd with "admin permissions"(search cmd in taskbar and right click on it and select open as administrator)

step-2: Now type- net user ( you will see list of all the users on your computer)

step-3: Now again type the following command- net user "username of which you want to change passsword" *

step-4 last, type the password for the user.

NOTE- the above process will FAIL if open cmd WITHOUT admin permissions.

open "computer management > system tools > local users and groups > users"
select the user in right side, set password (no need current password)

Spoiler: Change Password from Computer Management

Right-click on This PC icon on your desktop and then select Manage.

In Computer Management, expand to System Tools > Local Users and Groups > Users in the left pane. Right-click on your desired user in the middle pane, and then select Set Password. #

* by entering lusrmgr.msc in Run command we can directly open Local Users and Groups

Click the Proceed button to confirm.

Enter your new password twice and click OK.

# here also we can change user privileges too

this could be done only when the user is logged in, what if you have to login to a user without knowing the password and change the same

you can also do this using the tools included posted on this thread
