Hello,

I installed this OS - and unfortunately Bluetooth in my system is not working. I assume it has something to do with this OS only because it was working perfectly in the previous installed OS.

When I try to add a BT device, I get this -

Please help me out, what shall I do. Tried to update drivers too. Nothing worked!

TIA.

its an untouch version so nothing has been touched from the bluetooth drivers, probably it has to do with your bluetooth sensor/usb you got
did you have any issues before?
can you try with another bluetooth usb?

As I mentioned in the above post, I had no issues with BT earlier. What do you mean by Bluetooth USB? Do you mean to buy a BT adapter?

yes BT adapter
is it possible for you to try another one?
its much easier to check if it is your BT adapter than searching without finding any solution, it has happened to me the same thing with my BT adapter, i thought it was something wrong with the windows but finally it was the BT adapter

Actually I use a Laptop, so it's kinda difficult to try a new adapter.

P.S - Just checked services.msc, I can see bluetooth services running there. But still getting this -

I'm almost Sure That The Problem is With Your Drivers

Plz Provide Your Laptop Name / Model , Serialnumber
[ CMD - WMIC BIOS GET SERIALNUMBER ] Then We Can Check Your Official Drivers :call:

Is This First Time To Use Windows 10 ? or First Time With 20h2 ?

@Scene4U have you done these steps ??

Make sure Airplane mode is turned off.
Turn Bluetooth on and off: Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices .
Turn off Bluetooth, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on. ...
In Bluetooth, select the device you're having problems connecting to, and then select Remove device > Yes.

try this first...

@TheMacGyver yes he is on a laptop Lenovo G-50-70 and no it is not for a phone my friend :)
i have checked it first :) maybe there are similar steps :)

ok i will step more in detail now :)
What can I do if Bluetooth stops working in Windows 10?
  1. Update drivers
  2. Reinstall the Bluetooth device
  3. Check if the Bluetooth service is running
  4. Run the Troubleshooter
  5. Change Power Saving options
  6. Try a different USB port
1. Update drivers
  1. Go to Device Manager and right-click on your Bluetooth device.
  2. Select Properties and go to the Advanced tab.
  3. Write down the number next to the Manufacturer ID.
  4. It’s time to enter your Manufacturer ID.
  5. It will identify the manufacturer of your Bluetooth accessory, and it will redirect you to the right page where you can download the latest driver.
That one solution will fix your Bluetooth problems in Windows 10 is updating a driver.
It’s probably the millionth time you’ve read about it, but it could be helpful.

So, if you didn’t receive an update for your driver through Windows Update,
head to Device Manager and try to download the latest driver for your Bluetooth device manually.

If you think you’d be luckier, you can also search for the compatible driver on the manufacturer’s website.

@Scene4U do these steps and it will work fine :)

Just checked the specs of his pc - it has Bluetooth 4.0 built in. So if I were you I would grab a more recent updated build as suggested above. That may fix your issue.

Just had same problem with new custom built laptop. Using the current Win 10 build by @Darkwolf here. Was a wifi network driver for us and from the specific bluetooth device driver app we had to install. we we were trying to connect. (JBL T460BT headphones). We did what SiteWizard suggested here several times until the third time it worked.
