Ashampoo Soundstage Pro brings the rich surround sound of a movie theater to user PC. Whether movie, music, or video game, Ashampoo Soundstage Pro turns any regular PC with a sound card and a pair of headphones into a full-fledged surround system.
The software gives user professional-quality surround sound, and all users need is a PC and a pair of regular headphones. The program processes user audio signals based on what they would sound like on a real-world surround system. Then transforms them into binaural sound and sends it to headphones. Fully support sound formats like 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1. The program comes with ten different sound locations, created by professional sound artists and based on various high-end recording studios around the world.
Since tastes, and headphone models, differ, the program allows fine-tuning of several parameters, including frequency response curves for headphones to help a user make the most of its audio experience. Naturally, there are also settings tailored to gamers, that favor low latency and response times. The user will hear precisely where his opponents are. Though the overall quality of the surround effect depends on the surround information embedded in user audio, even stereo signals will sound markedly better and brighter when enhanced with the program.
Users can have a 5.1, a 6.1, or even a 7.1 configuration, but the user can also use a standard stereo configuration. Users can also choose between a few sound presets that are named after big cities such as New York, London, Paris, Moscow, Dubai, and Shanghai; changing the presets will not only modify the sound, but it will also display a different landscape in the main interface.
Even though the application needs more polishing, Ashampoo Soundstage Pro can be a decent choice if the user wants to surround sound in his headphones.
