XWidget is a powerful desktop customization platform. It is light, handy with powerful visual widget editor and very smooth animations. It provides a widget engine as well as an out-of-the-box selection of items for the user to enjoy. The application comes packing a weather widget alongside other useful ones such as uptime, system, search, RSS, notes, Internet or photo album. This particular piece of software can easily facilitate user everyday work by delivering the information user need in real time. It is also configurable to such extent that user may find himself spending more time doing it than initially planned.
One of the advantages of XWidget is the level of customization. A user can select any of the widgets and edit its every element. For instance, editing the clock component allows a user to add components, modify the existing ones both graphically and functionally. The widget gallery for this particular engine is also impressive, counting hundreds of nicely done items.
All in all, XWidget can prove to be a trustworthy desktop companion for those of user looking for such an application. It can also be a great alternative to the discontinued Y a h o o ! Widget Engine with added customization capabilities and far more features overall.
