Windows Update Manager for Windows (WuMgr) is an alternative to the well known WUMT (Windows Update MiniTool) with more features and an active Development. With the application, a user can manage updates of Microsoft products on the Windows operating system. It uses the "Windows Update Agent API" to identify as well as download and install missing updates. It allows the excellent user control of updates on modern (Windows 10) operating system versions, comparable to what Windows 7 and 8.1 offered.


New features:

• Ability to auto download wsusscn2.cab for "offline" search for updates (like when wuauserv Simply in the firewall)?;
• Ability ? to "manually" (that is without the use of wuauserv or the windows ? agent API) download found updates to disk (useful when windows updates access to Microsoft servers is blocked)?;
• Ability to block automatic Windows update on PRO/Home editions of Windows 10 by setting the WSUS servers to " " as described in the "Windows Restricted Traffic;
• Limited Functionality Baseline" from M$;
• Hides the windows update page from the settings app when automatic updates are disabled?.

• Command line parameter for scripted operation, disabling configuration options -provisioned;

• Added option to blacklist updates by KB using the updates ini, also color them or pre-select them.

Changed:

• Updates are now cached in updates.ini inside the downloads directory, updates.ini in the working directory is used for persistent update information.

Fixed:

• Fixed typos in translation thx to Carlos Detweiller and PointZero.

• Automatic update GPO handling, now much more user-friendly;
• Reworked error handling to allow limited non-admin operation;
• Reworked status codes for better UI experience;
• When a download fails, but the file was already downloaded in the previous session the old data is used;
• Reworked UAC bypass handling.

Fixed:

• Windows 10 version detection;
• Issue when started from a read-only directory, fallback to ...{UserProfile}\Downloads\WuMgr\;
• Crash bug when firewall blocks downloads;
• Issue client not properly aborting operations on chances.

The plans are:

• To better integrate with means of blocking automatic windows update on Windows 10 editions which do not respect the Group Policies;
• To provide an optional user-friendly automatic update mechanism which never forces a reboot;
  only searched for updates when the PC is not in use (optional);
• Allows the user to select what class of updates to install, for example, avoid feature upgrades or only install critical security patches, etc.;
• Simply put an automatic update mechanism based on consent and not violence, updates are like 6.

With this straightforward and handy application, a user will never again have problems with Microsoft negligence and manipulations.

Thank you for sharing this - my friend is having problems with win 10 pro updates.
We have tried most all of 'google' suggestions to no avail.
Here's hoping these issues are going to be resolved.
