Windows 8.1 - how to change the colour from selection and disk space bar?

custom themes dont seem to work, as these colors remain the same. I installed the uxpatcher (altough most intructions are incomplete)
using windows 8.1

i want to change it to orange, i tried installing the theme but they are still the default blue



i want it to be like this:

Uxpatcher or ultrauxthemepatcher
For setup right click run as administrator.
When je finish restart you computer

forgot to say im using windows 8 pro in admin,

i tried both Uxpatcher and ultrauxthemepatcher , but i cant change the colors of those bars

i dont even need a theme, all i really want to do is to change/Medicines the color of those bars

you can not just change the bar otherwise use ResHack but good luck

You have add thèmes in windows /ressource ?

place the appropriate theme files according to your Windows Version into your Windows/Resources/Themes folder
Right click anywhere on the desktop, select Personalize then go down to Themes and find the Visual Style you wish to apply.

yes, its installed like that, the colors don't change, they stay blue
the theme actually doesn nothing else besides to change the color of the frames like a normal theme, the visual style is ignored

@vanderzee Sounds to me like your system is not patched correctly. There other patchers that are available besides Uxpatcher and ultrauxthemepatcher. Uxstyle is one. Google "theme patcher windows 8.1" and try some different ones. I'm sure you will find one that works.

from what i gathered the "UxStyle Core" is best for windows 8.1, and ux extreme for windows 10. And as i usued the extreme it might really not have been patched correctly
sadly, i cant find the "UxStyle Core" version compatible wint windows 8, all download links are missing, and the devs webpage is down
