OnionShare is an intuitive tool that lets user securely and anonymously share files of any size in a secure and untraceable manner, and without a separate server or third party, file-sharing service required. With this straightforward application, a user can host the files on their computer by using the official Tor servers while his privacy stays untouched. It is a streamlined and excellent software solution to a thorny problem.
Once the user starts the sharing process, the application begins the Tor Onion server, loads the data and generates a random and very hard to guess URL link for the available package. Furthermore, the user should also know that if the "Stop sharing automatically" box is checked, the server will be shut down once a download has been completed.
Taking everything into consideration, OnionShare is a useful and novice-accessible file sharing an application that allows all category of users to share content securely without compromising their privacy and without having to deal with third-party servers.
How to use:
1. Open OnionShare, drag and drop files or folders into it, and click "Start Sharing";

5. The recipient does not need OnionShare, the opening of link address in Tor Browser is all that is required to download the file.

- Several bugfixes;
- Invisible to users, but this version includes some major refactoring of the codebase and a robust set of unit tests which makes OnionShare easier to maintain going forward.
