FALSE POSITIVE! As you already wrote Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) --> Key Generator!
You should read the Readme file given in zip file where I always give the explanation and alternative solution to a reader! It is up to you to choose!

@Mirkec I wasn't talking about the key generator giving me a false positive. I was talking about the hosts file being detected as a PUP in Malwarebytes after installation. I was just curious why thats happening. But I've already figured it out. So thanks, and have a great day!

It is not a classic key generator it is injector! You need to reinstall to inject activation code before booting up PC and connected with host webpage (preactivated)! Classic procedure!

The signature you found is false positive and it will not harm your PC! Read Readme.txt given in zip file for an explanation! Also, read all the comments above before posting something. Me personally and all people above use this build without consequence! It is your choice!

As I figured out after you have finished the installation you went in settings and the message pop-up?
Well, ignore the notification it always shows up. It cannot be disabled and it shows up because with the key generator/injector you block hosts files from calling home.
Setup your preference for once and all times and do not go there.
To make sure you successfully activated Malwarebytes go to the settings -> About. If the status is Never expired, you are fine (comper with the screenshots). In contrary, you did it something wrong.

do we use the Medicines before install?
im trying to figure this all out b/c the newest release here on teamos is causing immense issues and ive tried to reinstall 4 times now with 100% clearing all data and 4 different install procedures

turn off internet
pre-activate
install mbam

what contents SHOULD be in the hosts file? what lines should actually be there?
and should those lines be there before, or after installation of mbam?
