@Rotaru Dragos, I have moved the thread to the right place. :)

a) You may also need to enable ACPI in the BIOS settings - if it is already enabled, you may try disabling it and test.

b) Boot into Setup (Bios) go to Advanced, Hard Drive Mode, SATA. If it is set to AHCI, change it to IDE or Legacy. But it also appears as AHCI <Enabled> pass it to <Disable>.

SATA drivers may be missing in the builds you have tried.

c) update BIOS

d) If the above options do not help, you may have faulty hardware. You may try running hardware diagnostics and checking your RAM. Check with your manufacturer for hardware diagnostic programs.

NOTE: Try the options one by one, but the a) go to b) and so on.

You should have an option on newer bios to Turn on or off acpi. Please update your bios, if you don't know how to, let us know and we will help you with that.

ACPI = Power management. AHCI = Sata HDD mode. I don't think the 2 are related apart for when ACPI will tell AHCI controller to go into power save mode or wake from it (same goes for any other component for that matter) so don't do any changes the AHCI options.

I tried to boot win xp on my pc with 20 different builds. Its reading all things till setup its starting windows. Then boom acpi.sys error. Any fix/help its appreciated. My motherboard its asus j1800 ic.

Can you please be specific as to what error code do you see? is it a BSOD with code 7c or code 19? Different type of error?

Until then, you can try to fix your situation by trying with the power options in your bios. You will see them under the APM menu since you have UEFI.
Set the S4 state to on or off and try the same for the Power on by PCI-E/PCI. Reboot and test with any change.

You might need to flash bios to an older version but first try the above as well as tell us the error codes and when do they happen.

Hope it helped.

There are some MB that, in interaction with certain versions of Windows, give problems with energy saving, other boards do not support it directly.
For this reason, I advised you to test the BIOS changes related to ACPI.

In relation to AHCI, this type of configuration is recommended, since some older versions of Windows do not come with the included SATA drivers and give the same related error.
For that reason, I advised and clarified option b):

b) Boot into Setup (Bios) go to Advanced, Hard Drive Mode, SATA. If it is set to AHCI, change it to IDE or Legacy. But it also appears as AHCI <Enabled> pass it to <Disable>.

SATA drivers may be missing in the builds you have tried.

There was a buld many years ago that incorporated SATA drivers if memory serves that said your going to have trouble finding many hardware drivers for newish systems anyway so you may be better off running XP in an emulator like VMWare, Virtual PC, VirtualBox etc as the drivers will be included with the software. There are also several ready made images of many windows,Linux or Mac OSs that will run in these virtual systems.

Try Page 2-14 of the manual set to IDE mode
