How to See Applied Group Policies in Windows 10

GENERAL

The Local Group Policy Editor

It is possible to find which Local Group Policies are applied in Windows 10.

With the Local Group Policy Editor application, you can use it to see them quickly.

Group Policy is a way to configure computer and user settings for devices which are joined to Active Directory Domain Services (AD) as well as local user accounts.
It controls a wide range of options and can be used to enforce settings and change the defaults for applicable users. Local Group Policy is a basic version of
Group Policy for computers not included in a domain. The Local Group Policy settings are stored in the following folders:

C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy
&
C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicyUsers

If you are running a Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, or Education edition, you can use the Local Group Policy Editor application to configure the options mentioned above.

The Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) is a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in that provides a single user interface
through which all the the Computer Configuration and User Configuration settings of Local Group Policy objects can be managed.
The Local Group Policy Editor is only available in the Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions.

This Tip will show you how to see which Group Policy settings have been enabled and disabled from the Local Group Policy Editor on your Windows 10 PC.

NOTE: You must be signed in as an Administrator to see all applied group policies.

IMPORTANT: Very powerful tools here and not for the faint of heart. Proceed with caution.

4. You are done and may close screen to desktop.

These are two very convienent methods to check the status and verify enabled and disabled individual user and group policies which have either been set
automatically by the system by default, or by the User and / or System Administrator manually.
It's also a nice aid for those of us who have made changes and have forgotten which one(s) have been modified and need to be reset.
