Locked help with laptop battery

i revived a hp g62.. it is a athlon ii p320 dual-core processor with 3gig ram on windows 10 ltsc 64. i have it plugged in the wall so it has power. in the taskbar it says my device is plugged in but not charging, im just wondering how i can remedy this?

If battery is dead or bad it wont charge. You running coz you have it plugged in.. works just like a car. Get a new battery and charge for 24 hours

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, see if that works. It used to happen on my old Acer laptop.

If you can get your hands on 70% medical alcohol try cleaning contacts with it, just few drops on ear stick after that just swipe with toalet paper or something simillar, maybe contacts got a bit dusty, worked for me few times.

my HP also does this sometimes around 80% after installing Zero Gravity win10, But I think its some kinda battery life extending feature

Enough here. Get a new battery on Amazon. LOL....
