Locked Google Search does not take to Home Page but a Windows 10 sub forum

Hi,
Just out of curiosity I am asking. When I search Team OS on Google, it shows the first result pointing to Windows 10 forum.

You must be registered for see links

But I thought it should have pointed to Home/Index Page

Earlier it was pointing to the Index page.
Does anyone have any idea why?

It's not really up to the site admins, which page will show up first and we need to keep in mind that different search engines show different results, which is what you experienced too, mainly because each engine works/ranks with different criteria and in different ways. I assume an admin could add content="noindex" tag or use other tricks (only registered members areas etc) to avoid search robots but In the long run, I don't think it even matters and to be honest, I would prefer if the site didn't show at google searches at all or very minimum. A lot of people including authorities use search engines and things such as what we do here better not draw attention, which is the reason why we forbid some of the things we do like hotlink to other websites etc.

For me the most typical way to access this site has been thru Google search. Now I have just added the Index page URL to Favorites in Chrome. As such it is not an issue, I was just curious. I think as @MniawY says Windows 10 sub-forum must be the most accessed one and could be falling in higher rank. That explains it. Thanks.

I think that each search engine indexes according to their criteria and that nothing changes that shows one page or another. The thing is that we all know how to get to the forum and if someone doesn't know, they will join the Win10x64 page or another.
I also think that this thread does not make sense and this discussion, I leave it to the discretion of my superiors to keep this thread open or close it immediately (which is what I would do).
