Sat das,

Gratitude and accolades, mah friend.

Roundin' up the other inpatients for a conga line in your honor.

Think of it like a little parade...

:hi: Are there any tutorials for dummies or 2 year olds.
or, you know, me?
I am having trouble understanding some of the basic steps, like
all of them.:banghead::banghead:
I refuse to let this thing beat me.
I guess I'll just go find one, a two year old i mean.
This is no reflection on your tutorial, it's very clear
I guess just not to me.
I think I'll just head to the slow class, the one I'll be in
all by my lonesome.

Dang I sound like a whiners and I'm not so fond of whiners, so yeah..:)

Anyway, thanks again and have a fantabulous day/night.

Hello,

I downloaded working virtual styles for Windows 1709 and another one for Windows 1903 from deviantart and want to modify them.

Can I still use Aves Vista Style Builder V1.5, published in 2008, to edit these virtual styles?
Or do I first have got to change some settings within Style Builder?
Or maybe I have do manipulate manually .msstyles-file? I read that Microsoft changes the format of msstyles slightly with nearly every new edition of Windows 10. How does Style Builder get along with this as the program dates from 2008 ?

I apologize for cross-posting this questions in several forums, but I am not sure how many people are still modifying virtual styles now in January 2021 ;-)

Answer is unfortunately both yes and no. To edit styles created for Windows 10, you'll need to download "Windows 10 19H1 1903 Updated ClassMaps and Import Scripts" which are user-made update files for this application, they work but are not officially supported. However, when you add these necessary files, the files that are included in this release (1.5.0) as an activation method will no longer work properly. Basically, adding the files necessary to make the software work will make the software not work.

To edit msstyles for Windows 10 you either have to buy Aves Vista Style Builder or use the free open-source tool msstyleEditor which doesn't appear to be that newbie-friendly.
